Six African Countries Amongst World's Top Destination

 There are infinite stretches of white sand beaches as the Gambia was ranked third among the top eco-friendly destinations to visit in 2022. Big 7 Travel, a global travel website, has compiled a list of 50 nations worth visiting for eco-conscious travelers.


African nations were well represented throughout this list. If Bhutan, an Asian country, takes first place,Africa shine overall Botswana comes in second, followed by The Gambia.


The third African country to be singled out is Tanzania. The East African country is ranked 20th (the Mafia Island). Cape Verde is in 43rd place.


On the Big 7 Travel 2022 list, Mauritius is ranked last. This is great news for mother Africa in 2022. Ecotourism is a type of tourism that involves visiting fragile and largely untouched natural regions while benefiting the local community.





African diasporas should consider the beauty in which their ancestors once roamed and should consider returning back to visit in the near future.  


This low-impact alternative to traditional mass tourism has gained popularity in recent years.


According to a report from 2021, the worldwide ecotourism business would produce more than $300 billion by 2027. The industry brought in $181.1 billion USD in 2019.
