The famous Easter paragliding event in Ghana, which had been suspended for two years owing to covid 19, drew a large crowd over the Easter weekend.
The paragliding festival, which has become a hallmark of the Easter Festival, drew visitors from all over the world as it did every year.
Hundreds of revelers were flown from the paragliding field on the peak of the Odweanoma mountain at Atibie into the plains of Nkawkaw in the Eastern Region by pilots from all over the world.
Patrons were charged GH550 ($71) for the experience, which included landing on the pitch of the Nkawkaw Sports Stadium, which is located in Kwahu's eastern section.
The activity of paragliding is done at the mercy of the wind. To influence the combat, the wind must blow in a specific direction.
The CEO of the Ghana Tourism Authority, Akwasi Agyemang, announced during the start of this year's festival last week in the Eastern region that there are plans to make paragliding a weekly event by the end of the year, adding that the Ghanaian trainee pilot had received his pilot's license.
